I Don’t Understand

where these gnats are coming from. They first appeared last night during dinner and just now after I turned off my lights, I saw one flying in front of my computer screen—it was a good thing that my screen didn’t auto-dim. I tried catching it, but failed so I went to turn the light on and couldn’t see it anymore. I hate how when even the light is on and you spot them, they suddenly disappear. Next thing I knew, the bug was flying near my ear. I could hear it buzzing. Naturally I flipped my hair and head around like crazy.

I know they’re harmless, but I still want them to stay away from me.

I just don’t understand.
